Parenthood process is irreversible. Once a parent, is a parent forever. Parenting process helps evolve a person, as a child, as a parent and above all as a human being. This paternal element of closeness in parenting process helps develop the child emotionally as well as mentally. Parenting process, thus emphasizes that love of both the parents is a healthy and healing experience for the child. We would suggest that if the child is considered to be fruit of parenting process, mother and father are the roots of parenting process.A very important understanding and learning of parenting process is that, as a parent you are always at the giving side of the relation. Parenting process states that you should not expect returns from your children. Children replicate what they see, so mark your actions and words; this is the base of parenting process. At the crux of parenting process, be positive in your attitude, and your child will follow.

Neglectful parenting is another one of the types of parenting styles. This style is best described as a step beyond permissive parenting. This type of parent holds high expectations of the child’s behavior while allowing the child to talk about those expectations. Authoritative parents raise children who are successful, articulate, happy with themselves, and generous with others.

Parents should strive to raise their children with the authoritative style of parenting.

The Four Common Types of Parenting Styles

If you take the time to find an article on parenting styles you will find that parenting styles come in three main categories. These styles are Authoritarian, Permissive, and Democratic. Authoritarian parents, in general, are not very warm and affectionate to their children.

In an article on parenting styles, the Permissive parent is described as one who has few rules or boundaries for their children. They are very warm and loving to their children despite their children’s faults or achievements.

The Democratic parenting style is one in which parents engage their children into discussions and rules setting.

Parents of children with ADHD will need to be diligent in their efforts to educate their child about behaviors that are socially acceptable.

Parenting the 11-12 Year Old Child With ADHD

Single mothers face a lot of problems while bringing up children in USA. Financial problems being the most important as ex-husband may not pay the court order money for child support. This dependence on welfare organization once established is difficult to break. There are many reasons for the financial worries of single mothers. Although most ex-spouses fulfill their court ordered financial obligations regarding their children; a few of them do not comply with this court ordered support. Search Schools.

The children constantly grow so they require a regular supply of clothing and food. Similarly preschool children require child care, whereas day care is difficult to afford. This places the mother as well as the child in a danger of becoming homeless. Most lone mothers have to take a job.

Learning how to get the best from children can be very rewarding and also very empowering for both children and parents.

The children’s self-esteem, self- worth, pride and feeling of being loved are all majorly influenced by the way they are parented. If the parent is overly protective or strict, the child learns they are loved but not trusted and will have lower self-esteem. If the child is raised with little love they have lower grades, lower self-esteem and often become low achievers. Finally if the child is raised with consistent boundaries, age appropriate trust, regular positive feedback of both behaviour and personality strengths, the child grows to have high self-esteem, often become high achievers and are far less likely to engage in drugs and alcohol abuse.

Positive discipline is not allowing the child to run free and choose their own boundaries.

It is being consciously aware of your parenting. The child was not misbehaving.

Discipline for when your children’s behaviour is inappropriate is also very important. Time out has been proven time and again to be the most effective and appropriate discipline (Kail ; Cavanaugh,2010). The child then understands that you respect them and they will respect you. Personality. Wadsworth: Cengage Learning.

Children’s Behaviour and Learning the Art of Positive Parenting

Parents have to make sure that their kids grow and become responsible and with morals. Over the time, there have been many parenting styles and techniques that were discovered and one of these is the permissive parenting style. Parents often bond with their kids but they never teach them how to behave properly. Children are not given limits with their behavior in this type of parenting style. Permissive parenting may cause children to behave in an undesirable manner and would become harsh if not given what they wanted. May you have figured out what type of parenting style that suits the type of child you have.

Fortunately, the child begins to learn from their mistakes quicker than when they were young toddlers. Parents of children with ADHD will need to be diligent in their efforts to educate their child about behaviors that are socially acceptable.

Parenting the 11-12 Year Old Child With ADHD

Doing the right thing and avoiding being a bad parent can start as soon as they are born.Bad parents or parenting is seen in three areas – the abuse or neglect of your child, disagreements with your child and in ignoring your child. An argument with your child, particularly a young child, is bad for everyone. Whatever discussions you have with your child, bad parenting will see the adult being overbearing and too strong for their weaker offspring. Quality time means that both the parent and the child are focused on one another. Ignoring your child is a sure sign of bad parenting.

But sometimes advice, no matter how well intention feels like criticism. When your mother suggests that you hug your child more, you wonder if you are unloving.

What makes the difference between helpful advice and well meaning suggestions turning into criticism? The biggest difference is whether or not you have asked for help and advice. The life of a child is filled with unsolicited advice and correction from every angle in unlimited sources.

That is my unsolicited advice offered to you.

Instead, I offer another piece of advice. When you hear your son mistakenly naming the capital of South Dakota, ask if he would like your advice. When you see another mother juggling with her baby, carriage and dog, ask if you can help. Your desire to help, to correct, to offer your well earned wisdom will be more readily accepted if you ask first if the person wants to receive your ideas, advice and suggestions.

In the modern world we usually think that parenting starts sometime after the newborn baby arrives. This is because we used to believe that the unborn baby and even a newborn baby had no experiences which could be remembered. Unborn babies can feel and react to their prenatal experiences. Anything the mother eats and drinks will affect the baby.

The affect of the emotional health of the mother on the unborn and newborn baby is also becoming more understood. After birth, a newborn baby will show a response to a familiar song or music heard in the womb. A newborn baby has already begun to learn language in the womb. ;A newborn baby shows a preference for listening to adults speaking its mother tongue rather than a foreign one.; A newborn baby can match a sound track to the face speaking it showing a newborn baby has lip reading skills.

Each child has a different milestone and though they cannot communicate, each child has varied interest levels. The emotional security of the child is not threatened and hence the child stays happy.
