Your baby is quite vulnerable to bacterias and it is your responsibility as a parent to provide proper food with cleanliness, care and all the precautions this process requires. With honest efforts I prepared this guide to let you know what is the best, most hygienic and safest solution when it comes to food that your baby eats.

Babies are very fragile when it comes to germs so for example washing your hands is an absolute and minimum requirement before preparing food or even dishes for food of your baby.

Put the jar with food under hot water and wash it before opening it. Never give your baby food directly from the jar and take a proper car of spoons which you use as they collected enzymes and bacterias from the saliva while feeding infant. They get mixed with the rest of food so make sure it always fresh and again, never feed out of the jar.

When it comes to can use always a clean, new (no rust!) opener. Use a clean spoon each time because even reusing your spoon will spoil food faster because of your saliva. When giving your baby any fruits or vegetables make sure you peeled them properly and they are absolutely clean as any toxins or rests of pesticides can be eaten by your babe and that is a thing you want to avoid at all the cost. Be extremely careful when feeding your baby with eggs, be sure that they are cooked good as baby can easily get a salmonella if they are not.

Store food packs and cans only in a cool and dry places. Be always present and do not leave around baby when you are not in the room. Even more ? stay close when feeding your infant and be sure that you know how to rescue baby when it chokes. Feed your baby with food that is mashed ? puree is great and dissolves quickly in mouth. Avoid nuts, hot stuff and anything else that can give you problems ? remember that chips, pretzels, salty sticks and all the other of this kind are not healthy and they can be cause of choking so they are your food enemies.

If you think that reducing fat of food your baby eats is bad then you are completely wrong. It is required for a proper development of mind, especially in early stages.

Be cautious with food that can stick between teeth or in the mouth. Clean baby’s gum and teeth with a wet cloth until your baby is old enough to brush teeth.

Putting a baby cereal into bottle for feeding can be a big mistake due to choking risk and spoil the healthy hums and teeth.

Educate yourself about the subjects like allergies. It is quite common that babies are allergic to peanut, orange juice, eggs and many other things. Talk with your pediatrician about what you should avoid when feeding baby in context of any allergies that has been present in your family.

Practice the food safety tips and make a proper habit out of them ? this will let you grow your infant calmly and without many food related risks that are out there.

Eating a variety of foods is the best way to get all the vitamins and minerals you need each day, as well as the right balance of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and calories. Because of this, your body can’t store these vitamins. Any vitamin C or B that your body doesn’t use as it passes through your system is lost (mostly when you pee). Whereas vitamins are organic substances (made by plants or animals), minerals are inorganic elements that come from the soil and water and are absorbed by plants or eaten by animals. Take ordinary food and give them theme-related names and you will have instant success with your little ones. They’ll be clamoring to eat your fun foods. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Hot Dogs – Served at a Scooby Doo theme party could be called Scooby Dogs. Serve them at a beach party and they take on a new title like Octo-Dogs. If you’re throwing a dinosaur theme party those same hotdogs instantly become Dino-Dogs. At a SpongeBob party you could call them Squidward Dogs.

Hamburgers – Serve your basic hamburger at a construction themed party and you could call them Bulldozer Burgers. Serve them up at a SpongeBob party and they might be called Krabby Patties.

French Fries – At a Spongebob Party they must be Krab Fries.

Pizza – Turns into Plankton’s Pizza at a SpongeBob Party.

PREPARE YOUR KIDS PARTY FOOD AHEAD OF TIME

No need to stress yourself unnecessarily. Prepare as much of the food as possible the day before the party. Either cut-up or buy ready-made and cut-up fresh veggies and fruit. Just be sure to put your raw veggies into cold water to keep them fresh and coat your apples with lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown.

PREPARE BIRTHDAY CAKE AHEAD OF TIME

If you have decided to make your own birthday cake, consider baking it a few days or a week ahead of time and freeze it. Then, the day before the party thaw and decorate it. In the alternative, buy a cake that is already frosted and then all you will have to do is personalize it with themed decorations and a birthday greeting.

KIDS PARTY FOOD IDEAS FOR PARTY DRINKS

To free up refrigerator space, place bottles of water, juice, and milk boxes into coolers with ice. If you are planning to serve punch, then start a week ahead of time and freeze punch into your ice cube trays and place the punch cubes in ZipLoc bags in the freezer. Then the day of the party, they will be ready to add to your punch bowl, along with the other ingredients.

I thought I would give you a few pointers on what kind of cat food I like. You may not know it but I am actually quite a unique animal. My ancestors were meat eaters and I haven’t changed much over the years when it comes to what I need to eat either. My relatives were carnivores which mean we need mostly meat to stay healthy and have our nutritional needs met. No, really – it is true; I am not just saying that.

Please Do Not Feed Me By-Products or Fruits and Vegetables

One thing I really do not like and I am sure you would agree is by-products. After all, would you like to eat the feet and necks of animals? Well, neither do I. The word by-product has too general a meaning of exactly what I would be eating. Not being a big vegetable or fruit eater either, I do not need these foods added to my diet. While this may be fine for your diet, our metabolism requires mostly protein and fat for energy so we do not need a huge amount of carbohydrates. I understand why carbohydrates are used to form kibble for dry cat food but I am talking about canned food.

As you can see, these are products that are used very often by the makers of canned cat foods. They should just ask and I will be more than happy to tell them, this is not tolerated well. Of course, the reasoning is that they can make cheaper cat food by adding these unnecessary ingredients, but do they care that they are adding ingredients that do nothing for me?

Have you noticed that sometimes I have problems with my eyes or I have a really bad hair day for several days? It could be possible this is from the food I eat. There is a saying; you are what you eat.

Make sure the very first ingredient listed on the can is protein from a meat source and not grain source. Remember us felines are true carnivores. Please make sure these unfavorable ingredients are not included: by-products, corn, corn gluten, wheat, wheat gluten, artificial colors or artificial preservatives.

I know it is not your fault. You are inundated by the manufacturers of these foods telling you they are putting healthy products in the foods they are providing. I wish they had to eat feet and necks. But, seriously if you want to give us the best food to help us to stay healthy and happy, we need food that is similar to what we would get if we were still in the wild. Even though most of us are now domesticated pets and no longer wild, our needs really haven?t changed.

Listen, if you do not want foods that contain artificial ingredients, fillers and artificial colors, then you should consider that I do not want these in my food either. The more nutrient dense the food, the less I will probably eat because my needs are met.

He is going to eat it regardless of whether it is green, purple or yellow.

So covering this up is paramount to the companies being able to sell their product.

Dyes to Avoid

Yellow 5 and 6, Red 40 and Blue 2 as well as other dyes that are numbered should be avoided. There are more but I believe anything ?numbered? with a dye should not be included as ingredients in dog food, treats, cookies or supplements.

Many of these colors are used but are not tested to see if they cause problems.

Help your dog to make the coming year a healthy and happy one. Eliminate the dog foods as well as dog cookies and treats that contain colors just to make the consumer think they are getting a superior product. Read the ingredients and make sure the dog food you buy contains meats that are specifically named. Chicken meal, turkey, lamb, duck, beef and eggs are good quality ingredients.

By-products should be avoided as well. These so called forms of meat can be animal body parts you would probably never feed your pet on your own. Keep your best friend healthy for many years by being involved in what he eats.

Dyes are not necessary and buying dog food containing them are not going to be beneficial for your dog’s health.

Wide variety ? Okay, when it comes to food the options are endless. There are several different things we can feed our baby, and a ton of things they will like. Simply go to the grocery store, look at all the baby food, and get a good selection to choose from. Giving your baby a chance to develop a taste of certain foods is a great thing. If they start eating it at an early age, the more likely they will like it when they get older as well.

Healthy foods ? Although there are several different foods to choose from, you want to make sure you are feeding your baby a ton of healthy foods. Make sure your little one is getting all the fruits and vegetables they need to grow up strong. Once they master these, you can start giving them the snacks and desserts!

Don?t give up – If your baby doesn?t like a food that?s really good for them, don?t give up. If you feed them a fruit or vegetable they once spit out, and you give it to them again, they may just eat it. Sometimes we aren?t in the mood for certain things, and when we aren?t in the mood, we?re not going to eat them. Therefore, keep trying to give your baby the food they didn?t like at first.

Dishes ? So, maybe your baby does like peas, but maybe if you mix them with something else, they will like it much better, and they will eat them. Sometimes certain things don?t taste good plain, but if you mix them, the taste is much more appealing. So, the next time they spit it out, try mixing the peas with something else you know they like. This is a great way for them to learn to like it, while still making them eat a healthy diet at the same time.

Our babies can certainly be fussy when it comes to food, but that shouldn?t make you inpatient, but instead more determined to find foods they like, and find a way for them to like the foods they ?don?t like?. Don?t give up on your little one; just think of ways to be more creative. Although, you do want to accept that if they really don?t like it, they don?t like it. We all hate certain foods, and when we even think of them we get grossed out. So, if your baby is going through this, maybe they really don?t like it. You will be able to tell what is worth giving another shot and what isn?t.

We are all guilty of flipping through the latest issue of Parent?s Magazine and admiring the adorable birthday cakes that grace the center pages. They look so cute! They look so delicious! They look simple! That is until we take a glance at the directions . . . and then? They look so ?never-gonna-happen?.

If you don?t have the time to devote to fantastical creations that take hours to complete, you aren?t alone. In fact, the last time I cooked a ?homemade? cake, I have to admit, it came from the bakery section of our local Wal-Mart. The good news is, there is ?homemade? hope for we culinary underachievers.

If you are a stovetop slacker too, read on to find some fabulously simple recipes sure to please.

Caterpillar Cupcakes

Put your patterns and umpteen ingredients away all you chefs of the world. In the eyes of your little ones, our easy as pie caterpillar cupcakes will rival the likes of Emeril?s greatest hits. Bam!

Simply grab a box of cake mix and whip up a dozen cupcakes. While allowing them to cool, mix a few drops of green food coloring into a tub of vanilla icing. Once your cupcakes are cool enough, ice each one.

Now for the fun part, arrange the cupcakes in a wiggly row along the table. Allow the kids to place licorice strands on each cupcake for the legs. Decorate the ?face? cupcake using your child?s favorite candies for a nose, eyes and mouth.

Helpful Hint- Have multiple children? Avoid the fight over the candy decorated ?face? by dividing the cupcakes into threes to create smaller, multiple caterpillars . . . and happier kids in the process.

Gummy Bear Popcorn

Have a teddy bear that dotes on all things whimsical? Make movie night extra special with this simple recipe that takes all of three minutes to create.

Start by popping a bag of unbuttered popcorn. After cooking time, open the bag and toss in a small bag of chocolate chips. Close the bag and give a good shake. Pour the popcorn into colorful bowls and add a handful of gummy bears to the mix. This treat is a match made in sweet-treat heaven and it?s perfect for sharing!

Dino Dig Sundaes

Looking for a whimsical snack for your little archeologist? Pop in the Land Before Time and whip up these Dino Dig Sundaes for a themed treat he?ll ask for again and again. Simply place a scoop of ice-cream into a bowl, top with smashed Oreo cookies for the ?dirt? and finish off with a dino-shaped cookie or gummy.

Can?t find any dinosaur shaped treats? Whoppers make for great dinosaur eggs!

Scrumptious Seaweed Dinner

A lot more appetizing than it sounds, all it takes is a package of ramen noodles, a hotdog and a dollop of mustard.

Start out by warming the hotdog and cooking up the noodles. Drain the noodles well and coat with the provided mix and a few drops of green food coloring. Place them on a plate while you work on your hotdog ?Octopus?.

To make the octopus all you need to do is create four slits in the bottom half of the hotdog for ?arms.? Spread each one out onto the top of the Ramen and it will stand freely. Finish off with a few dollops of mustard for eyes and viola! You have an instant seaweed dinner your little diver is sure to gulp right up!

Haunted Punch

Perfect for Halloween but magical for anytime of the year, our haunted punch will have your little ones spellbound. Simply take a clean plastic glove and fill it with water or juice, tying it off at the end like a balloon. Then, allow it to freeze overnight.

Mix a little fruit punch into a large bowl along with a can of pineapple juice. Remove the glove from the freezer and peel away the plastic. Ta-da! An instant floating ?idle hand? for your punch bowl!

When it comes to culinary fun, a simple creative inch goes a long way. Get the little ones involved. Try new things, dream up new possibilities and if all else fails . . . have a food fight! It?s the most underrated culinary experience of all!
