If there is a baby living in your house then you likely know what a joy it is when they sleep through the entire night. It is a rare occasion in some households. Usually, though it may seem extreme, there is little wrong with baby’s being awake through the night.

In some instances new born baby’s may come home with a predisposition to sleep in the day and be awake at night. In other cases baby may not sleep the night away until around nine months old. Even then the time that baby may seem to think a night’s rest is likely different than the eight hours that some adults attempt to get each night. Ensure that the sleep area is prepared adequately. Maintain a consistent level of darkness and a consistent level of quiet. The area should be calm to allow baby to relax. Consider hanging a sign on the handle during sleep time.
